Each state has a chapter of the Mayflower Society-been thinking about joining, and finally got around to filling out some paperwork. My anscestry also makes me eligible for "Sons & Daughters of the American Revolution," but this is just a little cooler...

Pretty cool, though I'd known for many years of this fact.
Lots 'o' begatting, though not as much as I would have thought it would take to get to 1620 - only 12 generations. That makes 48 years and 1-1/2 months per generation. I would have thought it would have been closer to 25 years..

More than half the people you list are the women that gave birth to the next generation.

That's 44 years old - unusual even today.

That's 77 years old - unheard of. Mercy Latham set a Guiness Record.

Not trying to dismiss the coolness of this, just doesn't make sense to me that there can be so few generations.
I'll look back at the big pink book. It's all documented; I must've just made an error in the transcribation.

Not that I know of. Just thought it injected a related bit of historicism into my otherwise boring German ancestry.
