forced perspective
It helps the first photo was taken in the days before color.
In true VH1 fashion, several members of the group should have created their own variation of the "44" brand, and at least one person refused to re-join, and another (likely the lead guitar) should have died.
A lot to live up to.
I'm not buying the forced perspective notion.
Stephen is on to something...perhaps the legend of 44 catches fire on the internet....
All the Yoko shit happened before Aaron & Krista ever joined.
The 44 you see in both versions of this photo is in the "Starship" phase of the "Jefferson Aeroplane" - "Starship" continuum. Our asses were pretty much in ice cream by that point.
