There is evil there that does not sleep.
In Washington, I mean.
I am an ongoing supporter of the Sierra Club - $12 a month for the last 5 years or so.
A disgrace in giant portions. It is bad to see such bad decisions being made by people with a lot of power. I am glad that I did not vote for him. Good job Mixdorf for being a member of the SC. I hope to be a member some day!
I am a member, though at a smaller level than Mixxy ($30/year, I think).
One thing I like about them is that they seem to have managed to keep a sort of centrist image, bringing in support from "sportsmen" and more casual outdoors-goers. Whether justified or not, allying yourself with organizations such as Greenpeace & MoveOn.org (both of whom I support, financially) can often lead to risk of being considered a "fringe element." Especially in these times, with so pervasive a system for right-wing talking point dissemination.
