Those pictures are excellent. I imagine as a father you're better off just carrying your camera around your neck at all times. Keep them coming! (The pictures, I mean. Another child is up to you guys.)

Thanks. Actually, not carrying the camera around as much as you'd think. I've often thought that Westerners have somewhat of a sad epidemic of ruining the ephemeral joy of their vacations by thinking of everything in terms of "the next good shot." I try to carry that philosophy through to my parenting, as well.

Besides - my style of parenting is ground level - literally - and would go through a lot of cameras worn around the neck.

Another child: Nope.

Wonderful, and coming off listening to the Obama speech, this too gives me hope.

Two less serious things:

No pictures of Sharon?

Rose, with only her bottom teeth looks hilariously hillbilly in a couple of those shots. Based on a couple of other shots it's clear she gets it from you.

Boy, if Lucy and Rose get along that well forever, you are golden.

Sharon was actually just talking about how there's a lack of pictures of her with the girls in general; though understand - these photos are cobbled together from a period of over 12 months and, after all, this is my blog. So my blog, shots of me with the girls.

Getting along - yes, they generally get along wonderfully. The only issues arise when Lucy is a little out of control. So not a temper or resentment thing but an "over control" thing, as Lucy calls it (4 year old mind: the opposite of "under control")

Much fun, much love - indeed.

Oh yes, and the teeth. No doubt about it, little Rose has gotta grow into those teeth of hers. Both the bottom two and the top two. She's still only got four, but man - what a four.

Beautiful!

ps why do we have to type in a word verification to respond? Do you have a lot of trouble with outsiders responding? Just wondering.
