Thanks, Mighty Tom

Well, a long-awaited visit by a close friend is over and the traditional NSE (Non-Stop Excitement), mixed with the newer MDI (Moments of Domestic Inevitability) has subsided, leaving me back in the constant roil of everyday business and routine.

I could do the usual recap, which would include specific details of our adventures and misadventures, but I will simply provide you with this shot, which pretty much sums up a particular shared joy of our time together. Tom was in the mood for Wheat Beer, and I was in the mood for Volume, so it really seemed like the things to do. At the point this picture was taken, we were probably about a gallon or so into the endeavor, so you must excuse the expressions on our faces.

Is MT still wearing that flippin' Colts sweater? Burn that SOB. :)

Nice layers of clothes Dan. Glad to see that the furnace you just bought is keeping you warm.

Just kidding, You are wise for keeping the temp down.

Me wise nothing. Sharon keeps the temperature down. I go around the house in sweaters and a sarape, with a space heater jammed into my underwear.

The women in my house are cold-blooded.

It was a great weekend! From the trip on the heels of a major storm, to a surprise visit with the Johnsons, hanging with Lucy, chatting with Sharon, holding Rose (she is a cutie), cross-countryskiing, "nature"walks, a bit o Trek, LOTR, and Simpsons, a sneak peek at Dan's upcoming show (got to see Dan's first nude scene, kinda uncomfortable, but I accepted it as an important part of the "theater", (Dan's acting is at a very high level these days)food, some coffee, chats and musings, and plenty of BEER. You visit Dan, you will visit Brew - I have not drank that much beer in three consectutive nights in a very long time, possibly EVER.

Much more to it than that, but it was a great visit and I am glad it worked out considering each others schedules. Thanks Dan!

I brought slippers, an idea I would encourage to anybody for extended visits with friends and relatives during the cold months.

So much SNOW by the way - tons!

I see MT, and I see Roy, but where, Dan, are you?

He turned in early, as usual!

Right on, Tom. Such a great weekend! Good call on the slippers; especially in this cold house. I'm so glad it occurred to me to bring the Johnsons & Pat together. A good example of what good friendship can be; you see one another after many years, and you don't miss a beat.
