It Occurs to Me that It Is at Least Conceivable

That I am the only person in the world currently listening to this CD:

It's a big world, but you may be correct.

Of course, my "ulterior motive" in mentioning this is that it is just one of those secret little albums I've stumbled across from which I've gotten quite a bit of joy (in addition to the song, "Better Days," which was on Here Lies Daniel Guitarra).

It was one of the few albums I scoped out and rescued from Request's discard pile while I worked there, along with The Incredible Moses Leroy and a few others. The album sounds a lot, to me, what it would have sounded like, had Paul McCartney ever really "gotten back to his roots" and toured doing just plain ol' rock & roll like he always talked about. A lot of the songwriting sounds like it might be his, and the harmonies are very much in his vein, but there's just a lot of great musicianship and hard hitting rock.

A lot of neat songs that I might never have a chance to share, by virtue of them not really fitting into anything I conceive of as a future CMC theme.

Ah, hell, this should probably be in the CMC Annex, but no one ever reads that...

-small distant voice-

I read it.....

Or at least I check it for something to read. Another blog instigated by our father of blogs that only you and I ever bothered to care about. Not even its progenitor nurtured it once the initial post-partem exuberance wore off.

I certainly get a vastly different feeling in my mind from 'Bad Finger' than anything PMc would have ever done.

Rading a bit on All Music - boy, what a tragic tale that is. And, I'm not sure if you knew it or not, but PMc wrote their first hit.

I think I think of Bad Company when I think of Bad Finger.

Yes, yes, I'm aware of all you say, except that I think PMac may have had a far, far greater hand in the doings of that band than was ever publically known.

He was experimenting around a lot with having other artists release songs he wrote to see if they would get popular on their own.

I think they sound VERY MUCH like him.

This has nothing to do with music other than it involves Paul McCartney, but have you heard about his very bad divorce? I cry for him and I wonder how things could go so badly. I hope none of us ever have to worry about that kind of thing.

by the way, I would check out the annex, but it was too deep for me to ever really comment.

How is "iTunes can now download album covers" too deep?

I'm somewhat aware of the messy divorce. Seems like a shame. Seem like he was really meant for Linda & no one else.

There has been some scuttlebutt about him having been abusive. Without getting a bit more info, we shouldn't be too sad.

I 'spose there should be no speculation whatsover. You think there's no accountability for the press in political coverage, MAN, the version of events people get in the lives of stars must be so far from the truth. Who knows much of anything. Generally, I really don't think about it, whatsoever. I just see McCartney divorce stuff pop up on Yahoo! before I log in to my home page.

The Badfinger story could be the stuff of VH-1 Behind the Music, if it isn't already. I knew they had a bad arrangement with their record contracts, and there was a suicide, but I just read the Wikipedia entry and --- geeesh. I love "No Matter What", though. Kind of an apt title.

PMac

It is like we know him. There is a whole lot to say about the epidemic of sickness that people have about PEOPLE, if you know what I mean. Anyway, I may be proved wrong, but PMAC ABUSIVE. I certainly don't want to beleive that. Did he beat her with her own leg?
